Can I Survive My Hardest Day in Mallorca? | 106 Miles & 11,000ft
This is the biggest day on the bike I've ever taken on in Mallorca — 106 miles and just under 11,000ft of climbing (3 feet short, agonisingly) through the heart of the Tramuntana mountains to Puig Major, the highest accessible point on the island. The route takes in Coll de Femenia, the descent and brutal climb back up Sa Calobra (Coll dels Reis), Puig Major, Coll de Sóller, Coll d'Honor and Coll de Orient, before the long road back to Port de Pollença. This is Part 2 of my Mallorca road cycling trip — the epic one. And stick around to the end, because something happened on Sa Calobra that I didn't find out until after I'd finished the ride.
