My Bike Fell Apart On The Gravel I Know Best | Gravel Of The Glens 2026
After missing Tae at the Pot last weekend (gutted about that one), I made sure I got to the start line of Gravel of the Glens 2026 , a gravel sportive on trails around Slievenorra and Glenariff that I've ridden more times than I can count.
It's only the event's second year, but this was my first year entering - even though these are my local gravel roads. I entered the 53-mile route, but this one didn't go to plan.
Between fighting off illness, a camera mount failure, and a mechanical that I managed to ride through, I was already up against it, and a final mechanical halfway round put an end to the day for good.
