Victory Chimp A.P.E Optics Shoot

Had an absolute blast working with Victory Chimp recently on a commercial photography shoot for their A.P.E Optics Vega cycling sunglasses. As a commercial photographer based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, I love working with outdoor and sports brands, and this project was right up my street. Working from my base here in Northern Ireland, I've built a reputation for authentic lifestyle photography with outdoor brands, and Victory Chimp was looking for exactly that kind of genuine commercial imagery to showcase these sunglasses.

As someone who spends plenty of time on the bike myself, I can genuinely appreciate just how well-designed these Vega sunglasses are for serious cyclists. The thoughtful cycling-specific features really impressed me - those snap lock hinges make them easy to put on while riding, the low profile arms are perfectly compatible with helmet vents, and that ultra-lightweight 30g frame is something you'll definitely notice on long rides. The updated 2025 version includes adjustable nose pads that adapt to different face shapes, while the wrap-around shield gives maximum field of vision whether you're climbing hills or flying down descents. Having interchangeable lenses (polarised and clear included) means you're covered for any lighting conditions out on the road.
